Wow, 2014 has been a brilliant year for both the restaurant and Paul! A Wedgwood the Restaurant branded rickshaw hit the streets of Edinburgh, the restaurant was a finalist in the SLTN Wine Award 2014, Paul was appointed Culinary Director of Relish Restaurants in Barbados as they began their yearlong expansion across the island, he represented the UK at the Queens Baton Relay Reception in Bar-bados, and passed his driving test! Thank you to all our great customers, and we hope to see you in 2015.

Edinburgh Restaurant Festival

In October Paul was honoured to take part in the first ever Edinburgh Restaurant Festival and its launch at the Ghil-lie Dhu. Paul joined three other top Edinburgh chefs to create a four course meal diners would not forget at a glitter-ing gourmet evening. Paul presented an outstanding fish course of lobster thermidor creme brûlée, scallop ceviche, langoustines and crispy pigs tails with apple and raisin sauerkraut.

To coincide with the Edinburgh Restaurant Festival we ran a special Wee Tour of Scotland menu, showcasing Paul’s innovative dishes using the best of Scotland’s produce. If you were lucky enough to indulge in this, we’d love to hear your feedback!

Chef Demonstrations

In 2014 Paul took part in a number of great chef demonstrations slots, including Gardening Scotland, Royal High-land Show and the Country Living Christmas Fair. There will be more chances to catch Paul this year, so keep an eye on the website for upcoming demonstration dates.
What’s coming in 2015

The restaurant will be closed until Wednesday 28th January as the team enjoy a well-earned break after the busy Christmas and New Year period.
When we re-open our doors you can expect a great new seasonal menu, an improved wine list and the same friendly faces! 2015 is set to be another great year for us and we look forward to welcoming you again soon.
